SEIU Healthcare Wisconsin Continues Its Effort To End The Dangerous Practice of Mandatory Overtime Of Registered Nurses and Other Healthcare Professionals

  On February 24, 2009 Rep. Sandy Pasch and State Sen. Judy Robson, both Registered Nurses and members of the WI State Legislature announced their support for legislation to ban forced/mandatory overtime of health care workers. Such a ban will help defend patients from medical errors and health care workers from a practice that drives nurses from the bed side.  Please CLICK HERE to read the SEIU press release about this event.

In recent years SEIU's Nurse Alliance has helped expose the widespread health system practice of colluding to suppress nurse wages. Especially in metro areas with a very few large health systems, we believe this practice to be prevalent.
